Cassidy's Moving and Storage
Cassidy’s Donates Moving Services to Ottawa Charities
We’ve had a busy October in the Ottawa community, as it seems there are plenty of deserving local charities who need a helping hand – especially when it comes to moving boxes!
Ottawa Family Services Music Trivia Fundraiser
The Music Trivia Fundraiser is one of Ottawa Family Services’ most important events. Ottawa Family Services provides counselling and other support services to anyone in need. Parenting courses and other educational programs are offered for people of all ages and life situations. Ottawa Family Services also advocates for change to improve the lives of everyone.
The Music Trivia Fundraiser took place on Friday October 28, with tickets completely sold out. Over 500 game fans formed teams with coworkers, friends and families. They had a wonderful time competing for the top honours and bidding on auction items.
And that’s where Cassidy’s came in. We were up at the crack of dawn to drive the van to the pick up location, and collect all the prizes and auction items. We’re proud to say we delivered them right on time to the event location, St. Anthony’s Soccer Club on Preston Street. Volunteers met us to help unload and organize the items.
Didn’t have a chance to make the event? You can always donate to help.
Salvation Army Toy Collection
Every December, the Salvation Army gives out free toys to kids from low income families. More commonly known as the Toy Mountain campaign, the program makes a huge difference to thousands of children and their families.
This year, Cassidy’s helped move over 950 boxes of toys from the storage warehouse to the main toy distribution centre. They’ll be nicely stocked, and well in advance of the holiday season.
The Toy Mountain campaign is always in need of newly purchased, unwrapped toys for boys and girls ages 0 – 12 in the original packaging.
It was another year of extraordinary support for local charities at the Paul Rushforth Real Estate Charity Golf Tournament, which was filled with fun, food, friends, and generous spirits.
Cassidy’s donated free freight shipping to help some donated toys, clothes and essentials reach some needy kids in Thunder Bay.
This July, Cassidy's will be donating moving services to low-income families. It's all thanks to a new Habitat for Humanity of Greater Ottawa initiative that is helping the families build their new homes in the Orleans area.
