This means that gate access, posting dates, and Highway 17’s condition determine the day. Here’s what we figure out first:
The Town’s winter parking restrictions run November 15 to March 31, and start sooner if snow or freezing rain arrives early. During this time, there’s no parking on any street or Town-owned lot between midnight and 7:00 a.m.
Highway 17, the road linking Petawawa to Pembroke and Ottawa, carries a heavy military commute. Our team schedules trucks outside of peak times (roughly 6:30 to 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.), so your load moves while traffic is quieter.
Between November 15 and March 31, winter parking by-laws are in effect. This means there’s no parking on a Petawawa road when snowfall is expected to be 5cm or more, and no parking is allowed during snow clearing. We decide where the truck parks ahead of your move, so there are no surprises.
