FAQs
Before your moving day, our dispatch team checks municipal construction notices for detours or restricted access in developing neighbourhoods near Fernbank Road. If conditions are rough, we may use smaller vehicles to reach your home.
Many Stittsville homes have long driveways. However, if your driveway is short, shared, or under construction, we recommend applying for a Temporary On-Street Parking Permit through the City of Ottawa. The application should be submitted at least 3 to 5 business days before your move.
We recommend booking at least 3 to 4 weeks ahead, especially during peak season from May through September. If you’re moving during the busiest weekends in late June or early July, 6 weeks or more is ideal to ensure your preferred date is available.

The Local Advantage: Travelling Around Stittsville
Stittsville’s rapid growth means unique logistical challenges. Moving here requires local knowledge to keep your moving day on track.
Active construction zones are common in newer subdivisions along Fernbank Road and the Hazeldean corridor. We monitor local road closures and unpaved sections to ensure our trucks maintain access.
Most Stittsville homes have driveways, but the City of Ottawa’s 3-hour limit for unpermitted street parking still applies. If we need to block the curb for an extended period, apply for a permit 3-5 days in advance.
Builders don’t always finish landscaping before possession. Let us know if your home is a new build so we can confirm driveway and road conditions beforehand to avoid issues with heavy trucks.
