Stittsville Old Train StationCassidy’s Moving & Storage has long been one of Stittsville’s most trusted movers. For over a century, we’ve been moving people and freight, and that lengthy experience has taught us a few things.

What things? Well, we know that we’re only as good as our word, and that’s why we’re accredited by both the Better Business Bureau and the Canadian Association of Movers. We also know that moving isn’t just about moving furniture, it’s about moving people—people like the families of Stittsville.

We Move Stittsville

Stittsville is a fast-growing community. From 1993 to 2007, its population doubled from 10,000 to 20,000, and it’s expected to reach 30,000 residents soon. We’ve been doing our part to help it grow by moving happy families into its friendly neighbourhoods.

Here are just some of the services we offer to Stittsville residents.

Why We Love Stittsville

Stittsville is a fabulous place for families. With its public parks and excellent community centres, there’s plenty to see and do.

Far from being a suburb, Stittsville has a style and character all its own, with independent shops and local businesses that make the village stand out.

It truly is an exceptional place to live and raise children.

Parks A-Plenty

Stittsville’s biggest park is Walter Baker Park, located on the northernmost edge of the village, on its border with Kanata. The park features a splash pad and plenty of space to walk the dog, play a game of soccer, or just enjoy the views of the park’s small lake.

And that’s just the beginning. The City boasts over 40 public parks to choose from within Stittsville’s borders. A map of the area shows just how proliferate these parks are. Whatever neighbourhood you live in, Stittsville will have a park for you.

Community Centres and Events

Stittsville Arts in the ParkStittsville is home to several community centres, which have many features that appeal to families. For example, Goulbourn Recreation Complex gives Stittsville-dwellers access to a public pool with a 40-meter waterslide, two NHL-sized ice rinks, and a full-sized gym. If you’re looking for a fun family activity, Goulbourn offers drop-in badminton and basketball.

The Stittsville Village Association helps to keep the community lively by offering yearly events for the whole family. Arts in the Park gives the community a glimpse into Stittsville’s vibrant artist scene every spring. In fall, the annual Parade of Lights is a chance for the community to come together to celebrate the winter season. There’s always something going on in Stittsville!

The Canadian Tire Centre

Of course, one of Stittsville’s biggest attractions is The Canadian Tire Centre. People flock from the surrounding region to catch Senators Games and watch concerts from the biggest talents to grace the city.

If you’re into excitement, keep an eye on their calendar of events. You never know when your favourite artist might be coming to town.

We’ll be sure to do the same. Contact us to arrange your next move and we’ll give you the same great service we’ve provided for over one hundred years.
